Traditional Couples Therapy is effective only about 27% of the time, research shows. One main reason is that developmental, adult, and past life traumas have not been identified and cleared, nor the beliefs and identities which grew out of them. Nor have new models of healthy families been assimilated and new neural pathways opened to support new attitudes and behaviors. We need to clear out the “old programs” and install “new software” to allow for change in the relationship. This workshop will show how we can use energy checking via subtle ideomotor cues providing information from the client’s unconscious to augment their self report to determine where the causes of the disruptions lie, perhaps even beginning with genetic memories, intrauterine traumas, and the very early years after being born, and what energy psychology methods will work best for clearing them. We will demonstrate how couples doing this work together helps to develop loving compassion and more open communication around vulnerability, all of which deepens intimacy. Such EP processes helps to shift from the ego’s perspective of looking outside ourselves and to our partners for our fulfillment, to then develop the spiritual perspective of embracing our internal wholeness and infinite power. I will also demonstrate my adaptation of the EFT which I call the EFTA. Using energy checking via subtle ideomotor cues providing information from the client’s unconscious to augment their self report, I find that people select this EP method about 80% of the time.
